Mathematics AI Training Expert – PhD

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the advancement of AI by creating complex mathematical problems that challenge and enhance reasoning capabilities in state-of-the-art models.

• Develop sophisticated mathematical problems for the training and evaluation of leading-edge AI systems.

• Formulate deterministic problems that have a single correct solution.

• Produce thorough, verified solutions and meticulously document the reasoning process involved.

• Create problems that assess deep mathematical reasoning rather than mere memorization.

• Utilize Python or specialized tools where applicable to establish computational workflows.

• Ensure that all outputs are technically accurate, reproducible, and well-articulated in English.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s or PhD in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.

• Robust research or industry experience in mathematical modeling, proof-based reasoning, applied mathematics, or computational mathematics.

• Proficient in Python with familiarity with libraries such as numpy, scipy, pandas, or similar.

• Strong understanding of algorithms, numerical methods, and computational techniques.

• Capability to design original, challenging problems that reflect real-world mathematical workflows.

• Exceptional attention to detail alongside technical writing proficiency in English.

• Preferable: Experience with symbolic math systems, theorem provers, optimization solvers, or other mathematical software.

• Background in designing problems at the olympiad, graduate, or research level.

• Experience in evaluating model reasoning, benchmarking, or the design of technical assessments.
