This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
β’ Utilize proprietary software applications to provide input and labels on designated projects.
β’ Assist in ensuring the delivery of high-quality curated data.
β’ Play a crucial role in supporting and contributing to the training of new tasks, collaborating closely with technical staff to facilitate the successful development and implementation of innovative initiatives and technologies.
β’ Engage with technical staff to enhance the design of efficient annotation tools.
β’ Select problems from applied mathematics domains that correspond with your expertise, concentrating on areas such as probability, statistics, numerical analysis, optimization, operations research, dynamical systems, data modeling, and related fields where you can confidently deliver detailed solutions and assess model responses.
β’ Interpret, analyze, and execute tasks according to provided instructions.
β’ Must possess either (a) a Masterβs or PhD in Mathematics with a focus on a subfield of applied mathematics (note: a separate position is available for pure mathematics) or (b) a medal from an International Math Olympiad (IMO) or a comparable level math competition.
β’ Proficient in reading and writing, in both informal and professional English.
β’ Excellent ability to navigate various information resources and databases.
β’ Exceptional communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
β’ Strong reading comprehension abilities paired with the capacity to exercise independent judgment even when faced with limited data or material.
