Math Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Instruct elementary or middle school mathematics virtually using the Think Academy Teaching Platform.

• Actively engage with and manage an online class of up to 18 students.

• Prepare and present lessons in accordance with Think Academy's curriculum and instructional guidance.

• Evaluate homework and provide other critical teaching-related support.

• Maintain effective communication with students and parents, providing timely and personalized feedback.

• Typically work 30-40 hours per week (dependent on the number of classes you accept), primarily during weekends or weekday afternoons.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is essential.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required; all majors are welcome, though Education or STEM-related fields are preferred.

• Previous experience in math teaching is not mandatory but is an advantage.

• Experience in teaching or participating in elementary math competitions is a plus.

• Must be able to commit to at least one year of teaching starting from April 2026.

• Must be available and willing to work during weekday evenings and weekends.

• A strong passion for teaching and the education sector, along with a high sense of responsibility and the ability to connect with children, is required.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
