Master Data Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Handle requests for the creation and modification of customer master data records, which include Sold-To, Bill-To, and Ship-To accounts.

• Verify necessary data fields and ensure they adhere to internal standards and naming conventions.

• Keep customer records accurate in the MDG system and other relevant tools.

• Review and authenticate customer documentation in line with company policies and compliance requirements.

• Process and monitor customer master data requests through the MDG system, following up on outstanding approvals or issues.

• Act as a liaison for Sales regarding customer master data inquiries, status updates, and account selection for order entry.

• Detect data quality issues and assist in data cleansing, standardization, validation, and process enhancement efforts.

• Support the testing, validation, and documentation of customer master data processes and associated system modifications.

• Ensure adherence to relevant external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess work authorization that allows employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred experience in master data, customer setup, order management, sales operations, or order-to-cash support.

• Familiarity with MDG systems, ERP tools, CRM tools, or similar platforms is advantageous.

• Capability to learn and navigate MDG, ERP, and related systems, including SAP and CRM platforms.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional teams.

• Proficient in managing multiple requests, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and recognizing opportunities for process improvements.
