This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Overseeing mass tort cases and fostering client relationships.
• Ordering, reviewing, and summarizing medical records for crafting factual responses to discovery.
• Conducting regular phone interviews with clients and promptly updating them regarding their legal matters.
• Analyzing and assessing cases in preparation for attorney review and filing.
• Supporting our Intake Specialists in managing the intake system.
• Supervising the workflow of cases within our electronic case management system.
• Composing and dispatching correspondence.
• Drafting legal documents including complaints, discovery responses, and other pleadings.
• Providing general assistance to attorneys and senior paralegals.
• Accurately and consistently documenting all events and communications.
• Submitting invoices timely and in accordance with firm policy.
• Possession of a paralegal certificate or a bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in mass tort or personal injury cases.
• A caring and compassionate demeanor towards clients that aligns with the firm’s core value of Doing Good by Doing Right.
• A growth mindset, demonstrating eagerness to become an invaluable member of the Chaffin Luhana team.
• Proven capability to support attorneys and senior-level paralegals effectively.
• Experience in drafting and filing complaints and other legal documents.
• Ability to review medical information and summarize it with minimal supervision.
• High proficiency in the Microsoft suite and comfort with technology.
• Friendly and calming phone etiquette, maintaining patience even in stressful situations.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities—tasks can become busy!
