Market Medical Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead the development of strategy and guarantee clinical excellence across clinical programs, Stars, risk adjustment, and overall cost of care.

• Enhance collaborations with providers and health systems within the Market.

• Collaborate closely with Independent Physician Associations (IPA), health systems, aligned managed service organizations (MSO), and independent practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Physician (M.D. or D.O) possessing a current and unrestricted physician license in a state or territory within the United States.

• Maintain Board Certification from a specialty board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties, National Board of Physicians and Surgeons, or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialists.

• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience.

• Strong analytical and communication skills.

• Ability to think strategically.

• Proficient in computer skills, including software applications like Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes, necessary for electronic documentation of case reviews.

• 3 years of Managed Care experience is preferred, though not mandatory.

• Experience in case management is preferred, along with familiarity in fraud, waste, and abuse reviews being an advantage.

• Strong computer skills and the ability to work independently on technical tasks.

• A background in data science or knowledge of Artificial Intelligence is a plus.
