This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop, document, and implement best manufacturing practices across various facilities.
• Establish and uphold standardized processes, work instructions, and design guidelines.
• Propel continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and industry benchmarks.
• Ensure uniform execution across multiple sites or programs.
• Lead the planning and execution of first-of-a-kind and pilot builds for new products or processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams to ensure operational readiness.
• Identify risks, gaps, and lessons learned while implementing corrective measures.
• Efficiently transition pilot builds into full-scale production.
• Design and optimize facility layouts to enhance efficiency, safety, and scalability.
• Support the launch, expansion, and reconfiguration of new facilities.
• Ensure appropriate material flow, ergonomics, and capacity planning.
• Coordinate the selection, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
• Guarantee adherence to relevant regulatory, safety, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA, GMP where applicable).
• Develop and maintain compliance frameworks and audit preparedness.
• Assist with internal and external audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead validation activities, including IQ/OQ/PQ for equipment and processes.
• Create validation protocols, plans, and documentation.
• Ensure traceability, repeatability, and adherence to validation standards.
• Partner with quality teams to guarantee robust process qualification.
• Serve as a liaison among engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain.
• Lead cross-functional project teams for new product introductions (NPI).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and specialists.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in a management or leadership role with direct reports.
• Familiarity with new product introduction (NPI), pilot builds, or first-of-kind (FOK) builds.
• Strong expertise in validation, compliance, and quality systems.
• Experience with facility layout and production line design.
