Manual Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documentation to grasp the anticipated system behavior.

• Create and implement manual test cases, test scenarios, and comprehensive test plans.

• Conduct functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using issue tracking software.

• Verify defect resolutions and confirm that issues are addressed before release.

• Work in collaboration with developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and address issues.

• Ensure applications fulfill usability and business criteria.

• Maintain thorough documentation of testing processes, outcomes, and defects.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of testing processes and quality benchmarks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in manual testing, quality assurance, or software testing.

• Familiarity with software testing methodologies as well as the software development and testing lifecycles (SDLC/STLC).

• Proven experience in writing and executing test cases and test plans.

• Proficient in using defect tracking tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.

• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in Agile/Scrum settings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in supporting federal government contracts or regulated environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence is preferred.

• Basic understanding of APIs and backend systems is preferred.

• Exposure to test automation concepts or tools is preferred.

• Experience in usability or accessibility testing is preferred.

• Background check will be required.
