Manual QA Engineer, Web & API

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and uphold detailed manual test cases for intricate web applications.

• Utilize Postman to conduct extensive API testing, verifying status codes, payloads, and error handling processes.

• Collaborate with Automation Test Engineers to pinpoint high-priority manual test cases for automation and identify areas lacking sufficient test coverage.

• Write and execute SQL queries to validate database integrity and ensure that backend data corresponds accurately with the front-end user interface.

• Recognize, document, and monitor software defects within Jira, supplying detailed logs, screenshots, and explicit reproduction steps.

• Oversee and update Work Items in Azure DevOps to guarantee that testing progress is visible and aligns with sprint objectives.

• Leverage Azure DevOps to analyze automation run results and ensure consistency between manual test cases and the automated suite.

• Engage actively in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives to offer a QA perspective on forthcoming features.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in manual software testing or QA, particularly focusing on web platforms.

• Established experience working within Scrum or Kanban teams, with a solid grasp of agile ceremonies and deliverables.

• Strong practical experience with Postman for API testing and adeptness in writing SQL queries for data validation.

• Proven proficiency in using Jira for the complete bug-tracking lifecycle and experience managing tasks/requirements through Azure DevOps Work Items.

• A comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and contemporary testing methodologies (Functional, Integration, Regression, etc.).

• Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and a "user-first" mindset for recognizing UX challenges.
