Manual QA Engineer – Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Conduct manual backend testing utilizing API tools and databases for Mobile and Web applications.

• Execute smoke, sanity, regression, and functional testing on both new and existing features.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, checklists, and bug reports.

• Engage in SCRUM ceremonies and participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Analyze requirements closely and actively contribute to feature decomposition and estimations.

• Investigate, reproduce, and document bugs with clear prioritization and detailed context.

• Work collaboratively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders in the role of QA feature owner.

• Validate A/B tests and ensure feature quality during experiments and releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in manual backend testing.

• Proficient in testing mobile applications (iOS and/or Android).

• Strong hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, and various API testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with proxy/debugging tools such as Charles, Fiddler, or similar utilities.

• Experience in testing backend systems using both relational and non-relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

• Solid understanding of QA processes, SDLC, Scrum, as well as Definition of Ready (DoR) and Definition of Done (DoD) principles.

• Proven ability to create test documentation from the ground up.

• Capacity to analyze requirements and independently identify edge cases.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence platforms.

• Familiarity with A/B testing and validating the outcomes of experiments.

• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.

• Capability to quickly grasp complex product logic and new technical concepts.
