Manual QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review product specifications and collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp use cases and acceptance criteria.

• Design, uphold, and implement comprehensive manual test cases for functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), collaborating with developers for resolution.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of workflows, which includes user interfaces, APIs, and third-party integrations.

• Ensure data accuracy across different systems, especially in financial and transaction processes.

• Engage in sprint planning, daily standups, and QA retrospectives as a component of the Agile development cycle.

• Assist in maintaining QA documentation, including test plans, testing procedures, and release checklists.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA processes and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in manual software testing, ideally in a fintech or heavily regulated setting.

• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and procedures.

• Experience in testing web and mobile applications.

• Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman for manual API testing.

• Basic understanding of databases and the ability to write simple SQL queries.

• Detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum team environments.

• Practical experience using AI tools throughout the testing lifecycle, including generating test cases and test data, creating or maintaining automated tests, and analyzing failures with sound judgment regarding AI output validation.

• Nice to have: Exposure to cross-border payments or banking systems.

• Familiarity with compliance testing (KYC, AML, etc.).

• Interest in developing skills in test automation over time.
