Mandarin Interpreter

📋 Description

• We are looking for talented and highly motivated Mandarin Interpreters to become a part of our fully remote team.

• Initially focused on Over-the-Phone Interpretation (OPI), this position provides a clear path for advancement into Video Remote Interpretation (VRI).

• Your responsibilities will include delivering precise, consecutive interpretation primarily in medical environments, as well as facilitating important communication in social services and financial sectors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of professional experience in remote medical interpretation is required.

• English Proficiency: A minimum C1 fluency level is necessary. Valid certifications from EF SET (4-Skill), TOEFL, or CAE are acceptable.

• Interpretation Certification: Candidates must pass a terminology and interpreter skills evaluation during the hiring process.

• Core Skills: Complete mastery of medical terminology and customer service language is essential.

• Compliance: Candidates must currently hold, or be willing to obtain, HIPAA and FWA (Fraud, Waste, and Abuse) certifications.

• Background Check: Candidates must be willing to successfully complete a standard background check via email.

• Technical & Workspace Requirements: Internet Connection: A hardwired Ethernet connection directly to your router is mandatory (Wi-Fi is strictly prohibited). Hardware: A high-quality, noise-canceling USB headset is required. Computer Specs: Minimum of Windows 10 OS and 4GB RAM. Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome, Apple Safari, or Microsoft Edge is needed. Workspace: A dedicated, quiet, and fully HIPAA-compliant working environment is essential.
