This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Guidehouse is looking for a seasoned healthcare consulting expert with a background in post-acute care consulting.
• Comprehend post-acute care workflows and conduct operational process evaluations.
• Clearly express critical process challenges within the continuum of care, and how delays in transitioning to post-acute settings can affect acute care environments.
• Identify opportunities to enhance discharge planning from hospital environments to post-acute services, including assessment processes that facilitate discharge from post-acute services to the community or home.
• Redesign various post-acute programs and services, encompassing organizational structure, job descriptions, team development, policies, and processes.
• Oversee client engagements and manage daily relationships according to timelines, scopes, and budgets.
• Supervise Senior Consultants and Consultants.
• Prepare client deliverables, including synthesizing the strategic, financial, and operational implications of analyses and proposed changes.
• Support data acquisition, integration, and analysis to facilitate a broad spectrum of payer and provider analytics, including financial analysis and clinical and operational benchmarking.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, ideally in a clinical discipline such as therapy or nursing.
• Current licensure corresponding to the degree obtained.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in post-acute clinical operations, care transition-related work, and/or throughput experience in a provider setting, with some experience at the management level.
• At least 5 years of experience in a healthcare consulting firm and/or a mixture of industry and consulting experience.
• Understanding of current trends, including the effects of COVID-19 on post-acute care, strategic positioning of post-acute programs and services, and implications of healthcare reform initiatives (e.g., payment reform).
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the capability to independently create documents or the potential to develop these skills within a specified timeframe.
• Adaptable, positive, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of facilitating information exchange across all levels of Guidehouse as well as within a provider-based client organization.
• Strong analytical skills related to independently interpreting, preparing, and analyzing budget and workload data, length of stay information, post-acute performance analysis, and comparisons with relevant federal and/or other performance-based data.
• Ability to develop and monitor pertinent performance metrics at all levels.
• Familiarity with relevant IT solutions and databases.
• Knowledge and ability to promote consistent, quality-oriented, nationally recognized practices in all clinical operations recommendations.
• Capacity to adapt and guide others to comprehend and accept values, strategies, goals, and plans in response to evolving business conditions.
