πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Act as the primary contact for the overarching UL relationship, serving as the primary liaison between Giga Energy and UL across all product offerings and business divisions.

β€’ Ensure ongoing compliance with existing UL certifications for oil-filled transformers and low-voltage switchgear, facilitating timely renewals and efficient audit processes.

β€’ Oversee the complete certification process for new product lines β€” defining applicable standards, initiating cases, preparing necessary documentation, coordinating testing, managing timelines, and leading projects to successful listing.

β€’ Create and uphold internal processes and playbooks for UL certification to enable the company to expand its product portfolio without encountering bottlenecks.

β€’ Work collaboratively across engineering, product, and operations to guarantee that designs adhere to UL requirements from the onset of the development cycle, rather than retrospectively.

β€’ Monitor and relay updates regarding UL standards, policies, and procedures that could impact current or upcoming certifications.

β€’ Oversee UL-related budgets, timelines, and provide reports to leadership.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A minimum of 7 years of direct, hands-on experience in managing UL certification cases, factory inspections, follow-up services, and the UL listing process.

β€’ Extensive knowledge of UL standards pertinent to electrical infrastructure, including UL 1562, UL 891, and UL 1558.

β€’ Proven history of successfully guiding new products through the UL certification journey from initial application to final listing.

β€’ Established professional relationships with UL representatives and a solid understanding of the internal workings of the organization.

β€’ Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent certification efforts across various product categories.

β€’ A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
