This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Build and guide a high-performing engineering team across DevOps, data engineering, data quality, and QA sectors—recruiting talent, enhancing skills, and cultivating a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

• Collaborate with the Sr Program Manager and stakeholders to define the technical vision and platform architecture, making critical technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and maintainability.

• Take responsibility for platform reliability and operations—ensuring Universal Inventory is consistently available, efficient, and secure through monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement practices.

• Lead the transition of data from legacy inventory systems (such as Netcracker, Circuit Vision, etc.) to the new platform, addressing complexity, dependencies, and data integrity concerns.

• In partnership with your data quality engineers, establish data quality standards and governance frameworks to ensure inventory accuracy and completeness across the platform.

• Design and implement network device data models (RAN, core, access, inventory hierarchies) to serve as the foundation for future AI/ML and automation initiatives.

• Collaborate across organizational boundaries with the CIO, network operations, automation teams, and AI/ML teams to understand their requirements and ensure the platform provides value.

• Promote continuous improvement by creating feedback loops, measuring platform performance and data quality metrics, and refining processes and capabilities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years in software engineering and technical leadership, with a minimum of 3–5 years managing engineering teams in Telecom, IT Operations, or data infrastructure roles.

• Proven success in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams—hiring, developing talent, and delivering complex technical projects on schedule.

• Extensive experience with data pipelines, ETL, and data integration—you have developed or overseen systems that transport, transform, and manage network-scale data with strong data modeling, APIs, and data quality frameworks.

• Experience in managing legacy system migrations and integrations, with an understanding of the complexities of real-world enterprise data and system challenges.

• Telecom network expertise, with a solid understanding of RAN, core network, inventory concepts, and network data flows.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices, platform reliability, and incident management, with an understanding of what makes systems operationally excellent.

• Demonstrated ability to convert business requirements into technical architecture and execution plans.

• Proficient with cloud platforms and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) for platform deployment and operations.

• Hands-on coding skills—you can still write code, review PRs, and contribute to technical decisions, leading by example.

• Exceptional problem-solving and debugging abilities—you can tackle challenging issues and develop elegant solutions.

• Strong communication and mentoring capabilities—you can clearly explain complex technical concepts and assist your team in their growth.

• Experience in implementing or migrating to enterprise inventory systems like Netcracker, Circuit Vision, or AMDOCS—particularly with OSS and/or BSS expertise.

• In-depth familiarity with telecommunications networks, network protocols, and TMF standards, demonstrating a thorough understanding of the telecom domain.

• Experience with data quality tools and governance frameworks (data profiling, validation, master data management).
