• Develop and implement a comprehensive multi-tier DSP network strategy across national, regional, and local providers to ensure extensive coverage, redundancy, and cost effectiveness.
• Identify untapped markets and capacity deficiencies; lead the sourcing and integration of new DSP partners.
• Create frameworks for DSP tiering, preferred partner initiatives, and volume allocation based on performance metrics and strategic alignment.
• Collaborate with leadership on pricing, margin, and supply economics to guide long-term business planning.
• Act as the main liaison for key DSP partners, fostering trusted, long-lasting relationships with owner-operators and national account teams.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and commercial terms with carrier partners.
• Facilitate regular business reviews with strategic DSPs, ensuring accountability towards performance objectives and identifying mutual growth opportunities.
• Own essential supply key performance indicators (KPIs) end-to-end, including successful delivery rates, on-time delivery (OTD), cancellations, refund rates, and resolution of DSP support tickets.
• Establish and uphold DSP scorecards; implement structured performance improvement plans (PIPs) for partners that are underperforming.
• Lead cross-departmental initiatives with Product, Engineering, Merchant Success, and Support teams to address systemic supply challenges.
• Develop and maintain operational playbooks for DSP onboarding, incident management, and capacity surge responses.
• Analyze delivery data to uncover root causes of failures, extract insights, and implement large-scale operational enhancements.
• Over 5 years of experience in technology, logistics, supply chain management, carrier oversight, or last-mile operations.
• Demonstrated success in managing external partners or vendor relationships within a performance-focused setting.
• Strong analytical abilities—proficient in building models, interpreting data, and converting findings into actionable decisions.
• Excellent communicator with the capability to negotiate, influence, and establish trust with both external operators and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with DSP networks, gig delivery platforms, or courier services is highly advantageous.
• Background in startup or scale-up environments; you thrive in uncertain situations and can create structure where it is lacking.
• Action-oriented mindset—you do not wait for complete information to take initiative.
• Familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
• Experience in structuring and negotiating carrier contracts or master service agreements (MSAs).
