
Manager, Strategic Sourcing – IT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the implementation of sourcing strategies that yield measurable outcomes for our clients in the IT sector (including Hardware, Software, IT Services, Telecom, etc.).
• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to pinpoint category-specific priorities and challenges, then formulate sourcing strategies that effectively meet those objectives.
• Take complete responsibility for the full RFP process, encompassing data collection, RFP development and execution, proposal assessment, supplier negotiations, presentation outcomes, and support for client award decisions and supplier/client contracting.
• Oversee the evaluation of supplier proposals by utilizing TCO modeling.
• Create and execute innovative cost-reduction strategies that go beyond unit price discussions, including value engineering and demand optimization initiatives.
• Lead research and analytics efforts to confirm savings projections and facilitate more accurate supplier negotiations.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to guarantee a high level of satisfaction for both internal and external clients.
• Conduct necessary supplier research to stay updated on evolving market trends and supplier capabilities.
• Promote effective communication between client business units and suppliers to ensure successful category execution and delivery.
• Build and maintain top-tier supplier ecosystems by category and region.
• Review significant contracts and serve as a subject matter expert for intricate negotiations.
• Monitor and assess spending, supplier performance, and savings targets at both category and sub-category levels.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships across all organizational levels, including partnerships with the C-suite.
• A bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• 5+ years of experience in indirect procurement and strategic sourcing with extensive knowledge in IT.
• Proven track record in developing category strategies and managing large-scale sourcing events.
• Strong experience in supplier negotiations.
• Previous experience interacting with clients and/or stakeholders at all organizational levels, particularly within a service-oriented industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, managed services, outsourcing).
• Demonstrated proficiency in TCO modeling and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in driving change management and fostering cross-functional agreement.
• Experience in identifying and implementing value engineering and specification optimization recommendations to lower total costs without compromising quality.
• Comprehensive knowledge of supplier ecosystems catering to the IT sectors.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel (for analysis) and PowerPoint (for presentations).
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to meet client expectations, influencing others or escalating as necessary.
• Proven ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Established ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined responsibilities.
