Manager – Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensures proper staffing within the team function/department

• Provides employees with the necessary training and tools

• Guarantees the achievement of OKRs while managing the department within approved budgets

• Oversees the development, enhancement, and maintenance of CSI's software products

• Responsible for leading a team of employees in the department

• Conducts hiring, training, and performance evaluations for the team

• Communicates policies and strategies to department staff

• Organizes employee tasks in alignment with budget constraints

• Engages in continual improvement and problem-solving initiatives

• Upholds all policies, procedures, company culture, and values

• Manages according to the budget established by senior management

• Ensures that team productivity expectations are met

• Guarantees that Sprint and other deadlines are adhered to

• Facilitates cross-team collaboration efforts

• Performs additional duties as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience

• 5+ years of experience in leading and managing a software engineering team to deliver production-ready software products

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in developing scalable and secure platforms

• Comprehensive experience in managing all facets of software delivery, including development, software architecture, QA, requirements, and release management

• Ability to comprehend both technical and functional issues to actively engage in problem resolution and negotiation

• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience in establishing guidelines in these areas for others

• Strong passion for learning, swiftly building software, driving value, and mitigating risks

• Exceptional communication skills

• Proactive work habits and robust interpersonal skills to encourage teamwork both within and across teams

• Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and the management of software engineering teams

• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment that fosters a teamwork mentality

• Detail-oriented with the ability to grasp the overall picture through technical expertise and problem-solving to prioritize and manage issues
