This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, direct, and implement federal income tax consulting projects for corporate clients, based on the role level.
• Supervise a team of consultants providing review and auditing services.
• Identify and seek out opportunities for tax recovery.
• Manage projects and coordinate interactions among team members, clients, and tax authorities.
• Assess and review all facets of engagements.
• Provide recommendations for appeals and oversee the appeal process.
• Create project work plans and schedule project deliverables.
• Mentor and support team members in their career development.
• Cultivate relationships with clients and leadership within the firm.
• Travel to client sites to collect necessary information.
• Ensure the quality of client deliverables.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients.
• Assist with client billing and financial projections.
• Address client inquiries and requests from tax authorities.
• Defend client tax positions in court when required.
• Manage intricate income tax projects, particularly in Tax Accounting Methods and federal tax planning opportunities.
• Review documentation and investigate relevant issues.
• Distribute tasks among the team.
• Prepare Forms 3115 and necessary project deliverable statements.
• Protect confidential information and sensitive data.
• Lead indirect project team members and potentially supervise direct reports.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 1 year of management experience, either formal or informal.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• A willingness to learn and collaborate as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and online navigation and research.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Capability to work in a complex, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to complete tasks promptly and with high accuracy.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to manage and protect confidential information and sensitive materials.
• 30–40% travel requirement for independent work.
