This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and execute strategic solutions to aid clients with federal, state, and local employment tax challenges while uncovering cost-saving possibilities.
• Provide employment tax services to a diverse clientele across various sectors.
• Engage closely with clients to offer tax planning, consulting, and compliance support.
• Collaborate with partners to develop innovative tax planning approaches.
• Minimal travel required.
• A bachelor's degree is required.
• Recent experience in a public accounting firm or a multi-state payroll tax setting is essential.
• 4–5 years of experience in payroll tax consulting and/or compliance specifically in the employment tax area.
• Proficiency in federal, state, and local employment tax issues, including compliance and resolution of issues.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with technology.
• CPA/EA designation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
