Manager, RN – Clinical Documentation Improvement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Oversees the daily operations and resources of the designated Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) team.

• Delivers continuous support for CDI through extensive collaboration with physicians, nursing staff, and leadership.

• Facilitates enhancements to clinical documentation via chart reviews and educational training sessions.

• Initiates corrective measures to address any identified problem areas between CDI and other organizational departments.

• Works in conjunction with the CDI educator to provide regional education and ongoing clinical documentation management program training for new hires.

• Enhances technical coding practices and clinician documentation by reviewing patient records thoroughly.

• Engages in guiding and educating all aspects of the clinical documentation process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school or possess educational equivalency for licensing.

• Minimum of two years of experience in an acute hospital or surgical environment as a clinical nurse.

• At least three years of experience as a clinical documentation specialist.

• A minimum of two years of demonstrated progressive leadership experience.
