Manager, QA & BA – Corporate Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• The Senior QA / Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the products developed align with business requirements and function correctly prior to production deployment.

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to elicit requirements, challenge assumptions, and convert discussions into clear, testable specifications.

• Oversee the testing process by creating test strategies, implementing automation where applicable, verifying data accuracy, and making the final quality determination before any release.

• Establish the comprehensive test strategy for their squad's initiatives, including functional testing, integration testing, regression cycles, and user acceptance testing.

• Manage the quality narrative for each release, detailing what was tested, identified issues, residual risks, and readiness for production.

• Assess the accuracy of data pipelines, ETL processes, and the financial and management reports associated with them.

• When defects are identified, prioritize them based on business impact, determine root causes, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.

• Uphold quality gates and checklists that identify recurring problem patterns before they enter the testing phase.

• Generate the quality documentation required for regulatory changes, internal controls, and release governance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional ability to engage with business stakeholders, extract requirements, and translate them into clear specifications and acceptance criteria.

• Solid understanding of banking finance, management reporting, regulatory reporting, and P&L drivers.

• Comfortable collaborating with Finance and business teams to clarify assumptions, data sources, and calculation logic.

• Five to eight years or more of hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing within banking or other regulated sectors, covering functional, integration, regression, and UAT phases.

• Proficient in UI and API automation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, or RestAssured, with substantial experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

• Strong SQL proficiency and experience in validating ETL processes, data warehouses, and data quality rules.

• Practical experience in testing BI reports — especially Power BI — including DAX calculations, row-level security, filter behavior, and visual accuracy.

• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr.

• A solid foundation in Agile and Scrum methodologies, shift-left quality concepts, and risk-based testing.

• Basic understanding of performance testing and security testing principles.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted testing methods for automation enhancement is a plus.

• Effective communicator capable of articulating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders and documenting work to meet audit-ready standards.

• Sharp analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to relate business requirements to technical outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Business, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CBAP, or Agile testing qualifications are advantageous.
