Manager of Engineering

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience managing engineering teams focused on healthcare technology.

• Proficiency in designing and constructing platform-level “enabling” services.

• Familiarity with EMR/EHR data models and industry standards including: HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, SNOMED CT, CPT Codes, EDI.

• Understanding of HIPAA compliance and information/security requirements.

• More than 5 years of software development experience with increasing levels of responsibility and leadership.

• Experience in full-stack healthcare application development using technologies and languages such as Python, Java, C#, Go, Rust, and JavaScript; a solid understanding of technologies like REST, HTTP, JSON, APIs, RDBS, Django, MariaDB, Aurora, and SQL; experience in iOS or Android hybrid application development using React, Ionic, or similar frameworks.

• Proficiency in Agentic AI coding practices and methodologies (Claude Code, Cursor).

• In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies with the ability to coach and educate others in these practices.

• Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.

• A proven history of successful collaboration with a professionalized product delivery operation.

• A self-motivated individual with a “get it done” attitude, capable of driving projects to successful completion.

• High energy, participatory approach; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor and inspire team members.

• Comfortable navigating dynamic work situations within a high-growth portfolio environment.

• Strong initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and advanced problem-solving skills.

• A BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required; an MS or PhD is preferred.
