Manager, Nurse Practitioners

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Supervise and direct the operations of Clinical Programs.

• Manage patient caseloads effectively.

• Provide guidance and resources to Nurse Practitioners.

• Conduct physical examinations, preventive health measures, and follow-up visits in accordance with established guidelines and physician directives.

• Order, interpret, and assess diagnostic tests to identify and evaluate patients’ clinical issues and healthcare requirements.

• Collaborate with physicians to discuss patient cases and develop and document care plans.

• Prescribe medications or alternative treatment methods as needed.

• Review documentation to ensure compliance with best practices, protocols, and quality standards.

• Recruit, train, mentor, counsel, and assess direct reports.

• Ensure the effective and efficient treatment of patients while overseeing multiple Nurse Practitioners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing and at least 5 years of nursing experience, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• A current, unrestricted RN license is mandatory.

• A valid NP license in the relevant state is required.

• Successful completion of a Tuberculosis test is required for the Carelon Health business unit.

• A compact nursing license is strongly preferred.

• A minimum of 3 years of management experience is preferred.

• Exceptional skills in data management.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Suite and electronic medical records.

• Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.

• Availability to work the specified EST shifts, Monday through Friday, including rotating on-call responsibilities.
