This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.
• Facilitate, communicate, and manage directives from senior management teams of members to the AWG sales support team.
• Collaborate with AWG support teams to meet the objectives of member store groups.
• Coordinate store resets, renovations, enhancements, new store constructions, and acquisitions.
• Assist in member advertising efforts through both in-house and external advertising firms.
• Conduct regular scheduled visits to stores to foster profitable sales growth and act as a liaison between customers and AWG.
• Analyze departmental financial and operational reports, providing guidance to members regarding operational strengths and weaknesses.
• Evaluate and set goals, objectives, and priorities for assigned members.
• Work collaboratively as part of the AWG sales team.
• Assess competitors’ merchandising tactics and recommend counter strategies.
• Implement the Flawless Execution method for planning and communication; ensure accurate, timely documentation and keep management updated.
• Develop weekly advertising campaigns in collaboration with members, vendors, department managers, and buyers as assigned.
• Ensure that assigned stores are utilizing warehouse programs effectively.
• Support and organize activities related to food shows.
• Monitor sales opportunities, out-buying trends, inventory management, and member quality control.
• Experience in retail grocery stores or grocery wholesale is preferred.
• A degree is not mandatory; relevant work experience in retail is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of applicable management experience in grocery retail or wholesale, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in reading and speaking fluent English.
• Ability to understand operating and maintenance instructions as well as procedural manuals.
• Capability to write standard reports and correspondence.
• Competence in delivering effective presentations to both small and large audiences.
• Ability to read and interpret financial and operational statements of departments.
• Skill in calculating discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Aptitude for solving practical problems and interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Strong communication and computer skills, with the ability to utilize and adapt to new technologies.
• Capability to read and understand AWG programs, policies, sanitation requirements, FDA regulations, C.O.O.L. legislation, and other state and federal guidelines.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 70 pounds.
• Capacity to perform necessary actions such as driving, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, and smelling.
