This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the yearly budgeting and monthly forecasting activities, ensuring precision and alignment among all departments.
• Monitor and evaluate essential SaaS metrics such as Margins, Net Dollar Retention (NDR), LTV:CAC, R&D utilization, Product ROI, and Rule of 40 to deliver comprehensive insights into business performance.
• Manage and enhance our FP&A platform (Planful), scenario planning, and automated reporting processes.
• Serve as a financial consultant to department heads, assisting them in budget management and understanding the financial implications of their strategic initiatives.
• Prepare monthly "Board-ready" reporting packages that showcase variances, trends, and executive-level summaries.
• Provide support to the Sales team by offering data-driven insights on pricing and contract terms. You will utilize an agile, adaptable, and innovative approach to structure deals that enhance win rates while adhering to KPI margin targets.
• Track hosting expenses and gross margins, identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Prepare financial projections, presentations, and necessary due diligence processes for investor relations, fundraising, and M&A activities.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with a strong preference for high-growth SaaS or Fintech settings.
• CPA designation is mandatory.
• Advanced skills in financial modeling and proficiency with FP&A tools (experience with Planful is a significant advantage) and accounting software (Xero).
• An innate ability to connect operational activities to financial results, coupled with a thorough approach to variance analysis.
• Capability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear, concise narratives for non-finance audiences.
• Comfort with navigating the uncertainties of a scaling company and a proactive approach to automating manual workflows (including the development and maintenance of AI agents).
