This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a cross-functional team, managing software engineers while guiding a delivery team that includes SDETs, a Product Owner, and a Security partner.
• Collaborate with Product Management on the roadmap and priorities, ensuring a balance between business outcomes and technical health as well as maintainability.
• Oversee the delivery of the roadmap from solution development to validation, which encompasses new product lines and the migration from legacy systems to new platforms.
• Implement Agile processes and optimize the software development life cycle (SDLC), promoting ongoing improvements in collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.
• Accelerate AI initiatives by enhancing the use of existing tools and testing new ones to significantly boost engineer productivity and team throughput.
• Foster mentorship and professional growth among engineers within an inclusive and psychologically safe team culture where everyone can thrive in their careers.
• Facilitate coordination among other development teams and shared services teams, including Platform and Security.
• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, with 4+ years in managing engineers; must still be comfortable with coding and familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
• Practical experience with AI coding tools in production environments and informed perspectives on AI applications within regulated financial services.
• Proven history of leading teams that rely on close cross-team collaboration and high-quality delivery.
• Strong full-stack expertise, including a combination of Java, Ruby, JavaScript, and React, along with experience in microservice architectures on AWS or GCP.
• Proficiency in Agile delivery, ideally with experience in scaled frameworks such as SAFe.
• A positive demeanor and outstanding communication skills.
• Demonstrated capability in mentoring and developing engineers.
• Experience as an Agile Scrum Master or Team Coach within a cross-functional team is preferred.
