Manager, Design Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Create and uphold an engaging vision and roadmap for the design system that aligns with the company's strategic goals and long-term product evolution.

• Develop and expand repeatable systems and practices that enhance the entire design and development lifecycle, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.

• Collaborate with Engineering and Product leaders to guarantee that the design system is seamlessly integrated into the development workflow, upholding high standards of technical feasibility and UI consistency throughout the platform.

• Offer leadership in adopting cutting-edge technologies, including AI-driven workflows and UX engineering methodologies, to automate system distribution and enhance effectiveness.

• Inspire, empower, and guide a team of designers to achieve their best work, aligning their professional growth with business objectives.

• Serve as a crucial link among innovative teams to unify the product experience and elevate technical standards across Addepar’s platform.

• Enhance the design systems documentation website to serve as a definitive source of truth and establish goal-oriented metrics to assess the impact and efficiency of the design system.

• Formulate a strategy for integrating global accessibility standards and UI excellence into our foundational methodology.

• Identify adoption challenges and create solutions to overcome them, fostering the necessary relationships to achieve broad consensus within a complex organization.

• Consistently provide constructive feedback and introduce learning opportunities to promote professional growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Product Design or UX Design, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.

• Demonstrated success in leading design systems initiatives for enterprise or B2B SaaS companies.

• Ability to plan for long-term platform transformation while addressing immediate design needs across various workstreams.

• Strong technical knowledge of user interfaces and proficiency in contemporary tools; experience or interest in UX engineering and AI-assisted design is highly regarded.

• Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to influence at all organizational levels.
