Manager, Delivery Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Lead, motivate, and develop a distributed team of Engineers, nurturing a culture of trust and psychological safety.

• Contribute to strategic enhancements in the software engineering lifecycle, aiming to elevate CaptivateIQ’s developer experience to a world-class standard.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance products by coaching them on testing methodologies and fostering a deeper understanding of software quality.

• Provide technical guidance by establishing architectural guidelines for test automation and delivery pipelines across the organization.

• Work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to prioritize roadmaps and implement a long-term strategy that focuses on product health and reliability.

• Cultivate engineering talent through effective coaching, mentorship, and performance management, demonstrating a commitment to helping engineers progress in their careers.

• Oversee the complete delivery of the DE team’s portfolio, ensuring that internal solutions and frameworks are dependable and secure at scale.

• Serve as a strong proponent for our engineering best practices, articulating the rationale behind various methodologies to stakeholders throughout the company.

• Promote inclusive, async-first practices to facilitate effective collaboration among the team, which is distributed across Poland and other regions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or in a formal people management capacity (M-level).

• Leverage your experience to contribute to our broader software lifecycle, identifying improvements that will drive significant impact for the organization.

• In-depth knowledge of software quality, QA, or SDET practices, with a proven track record of enhancing testing standards.

• Experience overseeing the health of CI/CD pipelines at a mid-sized SaaS company using GitHub/GitHub Actions.

• Extensive software development experience, either as an individual contributor or manager, with a focus on quality and testability.

• Proficiency in (or capability to mentor) teams working with Typescript, React, Python, and Django.

• Familiarity with modern testing methodologies to support a substantial B2B SaaS product.

• Outstanding interpersonal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle challenging conversations and navigate complex scenarios.

• Experience with contemporary test automation frameworks such as Vitest, Pytest, and PlayWright.

• Strong sense of ownership combined with a collaborative, humble learner mindset.
