This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead, strategize, and craft clear, innovative, and emotionally impactful copy across diverse platforms, including social media, digital advertisements, print materials, TV/radio/video scripts, blogs, articles, website content, emails, newsletters, and prominent press releases.
• Create and uphold a detailed voice matrix; utilize audience insights to genuinely connect with youth and young adults, while skillfully developing compelling narratives that resonate with funders, donors, supporters, and educators.
• Convert intricate mental health statistics, programmatic impact data, input from youth and young adults, academic information, and testimonials into relatable stories that inspire action, donations, or advocacy.
• Serve as the primary guardian of the Active Minds brand voice, consistently maintaining and evolving brand guidelines to ensure every interaction unmistakably reflects "us."
• Oversee the development of high-performing advertising copy for landing pages, paid search, and social media ads, guaranteeing a smooth transition from ad clicks to user engagement.
• Formulate the copy strategy for emails, welcome series, and engagement funnels by employing direct-response techniques that merge empathetic storytelling with clear, urgent calls to action aimed at driving measurable revenue and engagement.
• Implement ongoing headline, call-to-action (CTA), and copy-variant A/B testing; assess copy effectiveness, and refine strategies to optimize ad spending efficiency and enhance audience connection.
• Collaborate with graphic designers, marketing, and PR teams to co-create campaigns where strategy, language, and imagery synergize to achieve objectives.
• Act as a collaborative and supportive resource for internal program and development teams, assisting in the development, refinement, editing, and customization of their specialized content to align with audience expectations and brand consistency.
• Offer guidance, creative inspiration, and constructive feedback for team members, encouraging them to expand their creative capabilities.
• Direct project workflows from a copy perspective, creating detailed and motivating copy strategies and guidelines to establish expectations, timelines, and budgets.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing, English, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of proven professional copywriting and storytelling experience with a successful history in marketing, advertising, youth-driven, or non-profit organizations. (A multi-audience creative portfolio is required).
• Demonstrated success in producing high-converting copy for both direct response digital funnels and traditional print media channels.
• Strong understanding of core layout and design principles with the ability to collaborate effectively with visual artists.
• Proficiency in standard digital workplace tools (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and comfort with design collaboration tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop).
