This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of the entire customer-facing contracting process — including MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, order forms, and redlines — from initial draft to final signature.
• Manage our contract management platform as the authoritative system; ensure that the clause library, templates, and negotiation playbooks are up-to-date and functional.
• Oversee renewal management, safeguarding at-risk bookings and ensuring renewals are handled efficiently.
• Act as the commercial review gatekeeper for non-standard terms, collaborating with external counsel on strategic and specialized issues while directing routine tasks internally.
• Assist with live deals as a collaborative partner to Sales — promptly addressing contract and pricing inquiries without causing delays.
• Support deal structuring and consistently apply pricing and discount guidelines, escalating non-standard terms prior to signature.
• Document the playbooks, workflows, and controls that govern the function, ensuring that operations are not reliant on any single individual.
• Enhance cycle time and consistency — identify and eliminate friction points in the deal-making process.
• Develop scalable processes that can expand with the business rather than requiring reconstruction with increased volume.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Security, Product, and Leadership — translating commercial objectives into effective terms.
• Serve as a reliable contact during complex or contentious deals, balancing the urgency of business needs with the protection of its interests.
• Provide leadership with clear insights into contracting throughput, cycle time, renewal risks, and concentration of non-standard terms.
• 7–10 years of pertinent experience in Commercial Operations, Deal Desk, Contract Operations, Revenue Operations, Legal Operations, Sales Operations, Procurement, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience in negotiating and managing customer commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, order forms) from start to finish.
• Proven track record of managing people, processes, or cross-functional programs — you have either built or led initiatives, rather than merely executing within an existing framework.
• Demonstrated capability to design and document repeatable processes and controls, with a focus on enhancing cycle time and consistency.
• Strong commercial and contractual judgment, capable of operating effectively without (or alongside, but not inside) an in-house legal team, including managing external legal counsel.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain a credible review-and-approval position across Sales, Finance, and Leadership.
• Remote working environment - your new commute is however long it takes to walk to your desk!
• Flexibility - empathy is ingrained in who we are and we are happy to offer a flexible PTO policy, casual dress code, and more!
• Development - Mentorship programs, 1-on-1 management, a culture that promotes readiness for advancement, quarterly internal promotion opportunities, and goal-setting sessions.
• Fun - Celebrations just for the sake of it, yearly in-person and remote events, Snapsheet Swag, Employee Resource Groups, and more!
