This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervises and manages the operational aspects and resource allocation of BSMH's centralized clinical research finance framework.
• Concentrates on standardizing workflows across the system, mitigating regulatory risks, and enhancing financial performance for all clinical research within BSMH.
• Enhances team productivity by monitoring pipeline metrics, eliminating obstacles, and optimizing workflows related to study activation, revenue cycle, and financial accounting and reporting.
• Utilizes hands-on experience in clinical research coordination, trial management, and site operations to direct a centralized team across the system.
• Oversees strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies for a specialized team tasked with the technical execution of clinical trial billing, creation of Medicare Coverage Analyses, budget formulation and negotiation, as well as financial accounting, invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Shares financial forecasts regarding research enrollment with research teams.
• Ensures consistent, efficient, and comprehensive use of BSMH's Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) across all research sites within BSMH.
• Collaborates with BSMH Compliance and Internal Audit on issues related to clinical trial billing.
• Bachelor's Degree (mandatory)
• Master's Degree (preferred)
• AHIMA, Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) or similar certification (preferred)
• Over 7 years of progressive experience in clinical research operations, trial coordination, site management, or research compliance administration (mandatory)
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience (mandatory)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in basic accounting functions; experience or equivalent education in clinical research or related fields, ideally in billing, coverage determinations, and budgeting, alongside understanding research billing regulations; experience in hospital and professional coding and reimbursement (preferred)
