This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with a Director and/or Senior Director of Clinical Data Management to oversee clinical trial programs/projects for one or multiple clients.
• Provide daily technical and operational guidance to project teams supporting these initiatives.
• Manage client relationships and accounts effectively.
• Act as a technical and operational authority, serving as a Principal level Lead Data Manager for specific clinical trials or a series of trials, leading data management teams, and coordinating with clients and/or Everest internal project leaders to develop and execute data management project plans, while generating and delivering high-quality data management outputs.
• Mentor and develop team members, as well as oversee staff supporting projects.
• Review data management outputs produced by the teams and offer feedback to ensure satisfactory team performance and quality delivery.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and assessments of staff members.
• Engage in planning, tracking, and reporting for data management project budgets.
• Develop and oversee data management resource plans while continuously assessing and controlling resource utilization.
• Assist in aligning Clinical Data Management operations with the needs of other functional service teams to ensure collaborative achievement of corporate goals and to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of clinical data management.
• Aid in the competitive benchmarking of clinical data operations to guarantee that data management techniques and procedures utilized are top-tier.
• Participate in the planning, development, and upkeep of Clinical Data Management governing documents, ensuring alignment with industry best practices in CRF design, database definition, data processing, and data management.
• Engage in corporate initiatives aimed at exploring, establishing, and implementing new and advanced systems, standards, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical data management.
• Contribute to organizational development and growth by participating in the interview and evaluation process for prospective job candidates.
• Support business development efforts, including but not limited to providing cost estimates for data management services, participating in the creation of project proposals and bid defense meetings, and attending professional trade shows as needed.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or Mathematics.
• A minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the systems, programs, and operations necessary for the collection, storage, quality control, and processing of clinical data.
• Proven ability to effectively manage medical information and organize and integrate the activities of information processing teams.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with personnel across all professional and administrative levels.
• Contribute to the investigation and execution of new systems.
• Lead and direct the creation and implementation of new standards and procedures to enhance the efficiency of the data management process.
• Participate in and contribute to corporate initiatives for establishing and implementing new systems and standards (preferred).
