Manager, Accounts Receivable

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Accountable for ensuring both personal and team performance meets established expectations.

• Assist in the establishment and maintenance of departmental standards.

• Aid in conducting one-on-one meetings and general staff gatherings.

• Participate in training and remediation efforts as necessary.

• Support leadership in supervising designated domestic and offshore Revenue Cycle Management staff to ensure all RCM functions are performed within established timelines.

• Collaborate with staff to address discrepancies and enhance accuracy.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of both upstream and downstream processes.

• Enhance departmental processes with a focus on quality and efficiency, while identifying and eliminating bottlenecks.

• Generate reports as required for various departments and leadership.

• Anticipate and address issues, showcasing sound judgment.

• Conduct team meetings to provide education on insurance guidelines, claim denials, and necessary retraining efforts.

• Investigate escalated inquiries related to insurance billing inaccuracies and take appropriate actions to resolve accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s or associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is mandatory.

• Two to five years of relevant experience in healthcare accounts receivable management, claims processing, and medical terminology training is required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• Experience with 270/271, 276/277, and 835/837 files is essential.

• Experience with Epic is required.
