This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• In the role of an Energy Providers Management Consultant, you will collaborate with seasoned professionals to execute consulting projects, both at client locations and within Guidehouse offices, to facilitate significant engagements that yield measurable results for our clients.
• Develop and deliver high-quality outputs that underpin essential project workstreams.
• Participate in research, analysis, documentation, and client-facing tasks as part of a cooperative delivery team.
• Operate in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, utilizing advanced technologies and methodologies to create impactful solutions for our clients.
• Engage in creative problem-solving to enhance outcomes for clients, employing advanced methodologies and tools.
• Perform thorough research and analysis to support project recommendations and solutions, guide strategic decisions, and generate actionable insights.
• Utilize problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify challenges, formulate solutions, and make informed decisions that align with client objectives.
• Prepare comprehensive, high-quality reports, presentations, and other documentation for client deliverables to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to clients and senior team members.
• Regularly engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and convey solutions, fostering strong relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with team members, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a supportive team environment that promotes growth and innovation.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, including participation in training sessions, obtaining relevant certifications, and keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices.
• Assist in project management duties, including scheduling meetings, tracking project timelines, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.

• Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident, due to the nature of client engagements.
• Consultant II - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND one (1+) or more years of relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; or a Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND relevant energy/utilities internships or co-op experience.
• Senior Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND three (3+) or more years of relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; or a Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND one (1+) or more years of relevant post-graduation utilities work experience.
• Manager/Managing Consultant - Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND five (5+) or more years of relevant post-graduation utilities work experience; or a Master's degree in business, economics, or a STEM discipline AND three (3+) or more years of relevant post-graduation utilities work experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team to produce high-impact work products, reports, and other deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• An inquisitive nature about the energy sector and a commitment to making a tangible impact through consulting work.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and plan work activities while adhering to deadlines.
• Willingness to travel.
• Ability to work onsite in a core Guidehouse Office or Client Office location.
• Must currently reside in the contiguous United States.
