This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Prepare and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure adherence to New Zealand GAAP and US GAAP in financial reporting.
• Provide variance analysis and explanations regarding budget versus actual results.
• Develop and sustain financial dashboards and reports for senior management.
• Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads.
• Prepare rolling forecasts to deliver updated financial outlooks.
• Assist in formulating long-term financial plans and strategies.
• Analyze and report on cost drivers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor and manage overhead costs to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Conduct profitability analysis for products, services, and business segments.
• Perform financial analysis on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics.
• Offer recommendations for enhancing financial performance and profitability.
• Assist in developing business cases for capital investments and new projects.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand tax laws and regulations.
• Prepare and submit tax returns in New Zealand, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and advise management on their implications.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including New Zealand GAAP and US GAAP.
• Implement and uphold strong internal controls over financial reporting.
• Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Serve as a financial advisor to business units, offering insights and support for decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance.
• Present financial information to senior management clearly and concisely.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements within the finance function.
• Lead or engage in the implementation of new financial systems and tools.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry and financial record-keeping.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
• Proficiency in New Zealand GAAP and US GAAP is essential.
• Experience in tax compliance and preparation of tax returns in New Zealand.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
