Management Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, encompassing full P&L and balance sheet oversight across various entities.

• Compilation of statutory accounts and providing support throughout the year-end and audit processes.

• Responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining a robust control environment.

• Ensuring prompt and precise month-end closures in a dynamic group setting.

• Creation of insightful variance analyses and management commentary.

• Identifying trends, risks, and opportunities within the group’s financial performance.

• Evaluating efficiency opportunities in both financial processes and cost structures.

• Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders to facilitate commercial decision-making.

• Ongoing review and enhancement of finance processes to bolster scalability and efficiency.

• Assisting in systems development, automation, and improvements in data quality.

• Contributing to finance projects and change initiatives across the group.

• Playing a vital role in the financial integration of newly acquired offices and businesses.

• Implementing and monitoring finance-related aspects of the 100-day post-acquisition plan.

• Standardizing reporting, controls, and processes across new acquisitions.

• Serving as a finance contact during acquisition and integration phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience.

• Extensive experience in preparing group management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet.

• Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in statutory accounts preparation.

• Analytical mindset with a keen focus on delivering value beyond just the numbers.

• Proactive self-starter capable of working independently in a developing and evolving environment.

• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in utilizing cloud finance systems.

• Experience in a multi-entity or group environment.
