Managed Services Engineer – Tier 3 – Telecom

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Deliver Tier 3 support across various network environments, including Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, ADTRAN, Juniper, Meraki, and HP/Dell switches.

• Diagnose advanced routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, DMVPN.

• Provide support for SD-WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela, Ecessa, and Vergx, as well as wireless LAN controllers.

• Set up and troubleshoot voice services including SIP, PRI, Hosted PBX, TDM/IP interworking, and Fax over IP.

• Collaborate with field technicians and ISPs to resolve intricate issues.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement enduring solutions.

• Analyze SIP traffic using Wireshark and various diagnostic tools.

• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

• Design and implement network security solutions, encompassing firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

• Develop and execute network migration strategies for large-scale infrastructure upgrades.

• Conduct performance optimization and capacity planning for enterprise networks.

• Mentor and provide technical support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.

• Participate in an on-call rotation to deliver 24/7 support for critical issues.

• Contribute to the creation of best practices and standard operating procedures.

• Assess and recommend new technologies to enhance network performance and reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4, Cisco Meraki Specialist, and ADTRAN ATSP/ATSA.

• Over 5 years of experience in Tier 2/3 network and voice support roles.

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and network topologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft platforms (Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory) and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
