Mainframe System Programmer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Install, upgrade, and manage the z/OS operating system, including RSU maintenance.

• Implement system modifications in accordance with Atos security protocols and internal controls.

• Provide IPL support and troubleshoot JES2/JES3 issues.

• Maintain TSO/ISPF environments, which includes managing CLIST, REXX, and PROC.

• Conduct MVS tuning and oversee PARMLIB management.

• Create and administer LPARs.

• Carry out SMP/E tasks such as Receive, Apply, USERMOD, and exit management.

• Install and upgrade third-party ISV products like CA1, CA7, CA11, Syncsort, File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Mainview, System Automation, ASG, and BMC products.

• Assist in testing, implementing, and deploying new or enhanced systems and product updates.

• Collaborate with internal teams, management, and clients to foster continuous service improvement.

• Participate in the on-call rotation as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of z/OS.

• Comprehensive understanding of SMP/E.

• Proficient in JCL, ISPF, REXX, CLIST, and SMP/E.

• Familiarity with various mainframe products, including security, resource, performance, storage, scheduling, application, and hardware management tools.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
