Mainframe DevOps Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and assist with Endevor (and other SCMs) DBB/GIT/IDD migration initiatives.

• Carry out installation, configuration, and issue diagnosis for DBB/GIT/IDD on client systems.

• Analyze, convert, and verify Endevor applications.

• Offer technical support and resolve DBB/GIT/IDD related challenges.

• Facilitate customer training sessions and create presentation materials for DBB/GIT/IDD and migration procedures.

• Collaborate with IBM teams and client stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.

• Document migration procedures, best practices, and technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong background in Application Development or System Programming.

• Demonstrated experience in installation and migration on IBM z/OS.

• Exceptional customer engagement and communication abilities.

• Robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills related to IMU.

• Proficiency in the following areas: Intermediate Groovy scripting, YAML, GIT experience, Repos Pipeline – capable of debugging failed pipelines/builds, and branching.

• Capability to deliver DBB/GIT/IDD training, develop and present technical content using standard tools, and assist clients in identifying and resolving conversion-related issues.

• Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), over 8 years as a Systems Programmer or similar role, and more than 4 years of experience in customer-facing consulting, with added value for experience in development, application lifecycle, or change management.

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, hands-on experience with mainframe modernization and tools such as SCM, DBB, Git, and IDD, along with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a global team.
