Mainframe Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Ensure the seamless functioning of the supported application systems

• Manage service requests and incidents, while analyzing and resolving issues

• Offer suggestions for system enhancements, optimization, and automation of current applications

• Further develop applications in accordance with business, technical, and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate closely with other mainframe systems engineers, business analysts, and the operations team of the end customer

• Generate comprehensive requirements, specifications, and program code

• Conduct testing and documentation of program code

• Participate in projects for insurance firms and financial institutions

• Provide support, maintenance, and ongoing development for business-critical applications within a mainframe environment

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience

• Proficient in German, with at least a B2 language level

• Familiarity with IBM ISPF, IBM IMS/DC, IBM CICS, IBM RACF, IBM TWS/OPC, IBM RD/z, Compuware FileAid, Compuware Xpediter, and Atlassian JIRA

• Proficient in IBM Job Control Language (JCL), COBOL, and SQL

• Ideally, experience with IBM REXX and PL/I

• Knowledge of IBM DB2 for z/OS

• Understanding of the z/OS (OS/390–MVS/XA) and Windows operating systems
