This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.
• Spearhead AI-driven engineering methodologies by coordinating agents for specifications, coding, testing, verification, and reviews while ensuring human oversight.
• Remain actively involved in the codebase by defining architectural patterns, writing and evaluating critical code, prototyping, and addressing complex technical challenges.
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery of the Product Management roadmap across all deployment platforms.
• Influence architectural and technological decisions for high-assurance environments at scale.
• Recruit, nurture, and retain engineers and team leads in Romania, Vietnam, and Hungary.
• Develop career trajectories and standards for code quality and reviews.
• Execute measurable, thorough, and equitable performance-based management.
• Uphold a security-first standard for both human-written and AI-generated code.
• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, AI-assisted development processes, incident response, and operational maturity.
• Document AI-native playbooks, context files, coding harnesses, testing frameworks, and review standards for broader portfolio utilization.
• Collaborate with the VP of Products, Product Management, Design, and security leaders to translate roadmap priorities into engineering execution and timelines.
• Report directly to the VP of Products.
• Comprehensive agentic development experience (mandatory): personally oversee a complete agentic, AI-powered software development lifecycle from start to finish in B2B and high-security enterprise settings.
• Proven experience in taking a product from specification through to release utilizing an end-to-end AI-assisted lifecycle, encompassing spec generation, code/test generation, automated verification, AI-supported reviews, and CI/CD.
• Over 8 years of software engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of experience leading engineering teams, including managing managers/leads, throughout complex product deliveries at scale.
• A successful track record of building high-performing teams through rigorous and fair performance management.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, SOLID principles, and contemporary architectural practices.
• Documented success in constructing scalable, distributed solutions, inclusive of relational/document databases, cloud-native services, and modern CI/CD systems.
• High standards for tested, maintainable code and substantial test coverage.
• Capability to lead and coordinate engineers across various countries and time zones in a remote/hybrid, multi-national setup.
• Proficiency in recognizing talented engineers, attracting top talent, and conveying technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• A security-first mindset regarding design, code review, and incident response.
• Experience in managed file transfer, secure content delivery, data security, or critical infrastructure sectors (preferred).
• Hands-on or managerial experience with .NET Core / C# (preferred).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS/Azure/GCP (preferred).
• Experience in writing AI context files such as CLAUDE.md or .cursorrules (preferred).
• Knowledge of running AI agents within CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
• International team experience across multiple countries and time zones (preferred).
• Experience in validating concurrency and thread-safety in high-throughput services (preferred).
