Machine Learning Engineer – Personalization, Horizon

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, assess, and deliver agentic-based features and interactive experiences to elevate our products.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering to create new product features that further our mission of connecting artists and fans in personalized and meaningful ways.

• Prototype innovative approaches and implement scalable solutions for our hundreds of millions of active users.

• Advocate for and exemplify best practices in ML systems development, testing, and evaluation, both within the team and across the organization.

• Play an active role in fostering a robust community of machine learning practitioners at Spotify.

⛳️ Requirements

• A seasoned ML practitioner eager to tackle complex real-world challenges in a dynamic and collaborative setting.

• Solid foundation in machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, along with experience in translating theory into practical applications.

• Practical expertise in deploying end-to-end production ML systems at scale. Familiarity with production LLM-based systems is advantageous.

• Proven experience in integrating human feedback to enhance LLM-based systems using techniques such as DPO, KTO, and reinforcement fine-tuning.

• Background in designing comprehensive tech specifications and modular architectures for ML frameworks within complex problem domains in cooperation with product teams.

• Proficient in large-scale, distributed data processing frameworks/tools like Apache Beam, Apache Spark, and cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
