This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the architecture of hybrid gaming and machine learning systems, serving as the main contact for integrating machine learning within game systems.
• Design, develop, and sustain both learning and non-learning systems.
• Remain informed about the latest advancements in machine learning and gaming technologies, identifying and exploring applicable solutions for the company.
• Provide support to programming and machine learning teams throughout various development stages.
• Develop and maintain quality guidelines for our machine learning applications.
• Share machine learning expertise across the organization.
• Enhance your team’s influence, whether through personal accomplishments or leadership roles.
• Foster open, thoughtful, and honest communication with colleagues to achieve optimal results.
• Collect, validate, and respond to internal feedback, modifying design and technology decisions as necessary.
• At least 7 years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining APIs and applications.
• Understanding of classical AI concepts, such as symbolic processing and production systems.
• Proficient in machine learning: experience with major ML libraries and platforms like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
• Background in human behavior modeling and reinforcement learning is a significant advantage.
• Strong competencies in C, C++, Rust, Go, or other systems programming languages.
• Proficient in Python.
• Demonstrated success in integrating machine learning solutions into traditional computing systems: experience in deploying ML systems into production and an interest in applied research.
• Experience with high-performance computing and an understanding of code optimization best practices.
• Familiarity with game engines and real-time simulations.
• Possess intellectual curiosity.
• Humble and inquisitive, continuously seeking learning opportunities beyond their role or the company.
• Self-sufficient: proactive and motivated.
• Capable of setting ambitious high-level objectives, planning, driving execution, and being accountable for outcomes.
• Hold a master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related data discipline, or have equivalent expertise through industry experience.
• Experience with Unreal Engine.
• Preferred geographic location in the North American Eastern Time zone.
