Architecture Lead, Read to Build

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create catalogs of rooms, groupings, and massings designed to serve as reusable components with established relationships, constraints, and configuration logic.

• Define the assembly rules — identifying connections, constraints, and elements that yield structurally sound and aesthetically pleasing homes.

• Convert profound residential design insights into structured, repeatable patterns suitable for systematization.

• Collaborate with plan development leaders to ensure the design system generates homes that are buildable, compliant with codes, and ready for the market.

• Contribute to standard details, design guidelines, and modeling best practices that facilitate automation and scalability.

• Assist in defining a new programming language for the creation of homes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in residential architecture, including hands-on knowledge of home design and construction.

• A systems design mindset — you are inclined to design the rules rather than merely applying them.

• Comfort at the intersection of design and technology, with a passion for encoding design decisions into software.

• Proficiency with parametric design tools and computational methodologies.

• A licensed architect credential.

• Strong collaboration skills — able to work across disciplines and translate between design intuition and technical constraints.

• Additional qualifications are a significant advantage, including:

• Experience with catalog housing, plan libraries, or product-line residential design.

• Exposure to prefab, modular, or mass-customization housing strategies.

• Familiarity with BIM platforms and computational design tools such as Grasshopper or Dynamo.
