LTM EEG Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct real-time monitoring of both continuous and intermittent EEG.

• Identify EEG abnormalities.

• Inform oversight neurologists and assigned care providers of technical results.

• Clip and prune EEG studies as needed.

• Monitor patients in adult, pediatric, and neonatal demographics.

• Maintain a daily cEEG log and ensure proper documentation.

• Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment effectively.

• Engage professionally with hospital staff, oversight neurologists, and remote technologists.

• Provide the majority of night and weekend coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a certified R. EEG Technologist.

• ABRET board certification in Electroencephalography (R. EEGT) is required.

• Certification in Long-term Monitoring (CLTM) must be obtained within 2 years of hire.

• A minimum of 3 years of post-training experience in long-term monitoring within ICU/EMU settings.

• Must maintain a HIPAA-compliant workspace that is free from unauthorized viewing.

• Compliance with facility credentialing requirements regarding vaccinations and education is essential.

• Reliable cellphone coverage and internet service that meets or exceeds company standards are required.

• Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency are necessary.

• Familiarity with adult, pediatric, and neonatal EEG patterns is crucial.

• Capability to differentiate artifacts from cortical activity.

• Understanding of medical terminology, ACNS EEG description terminology, and neurodiagnostics abbreviations is needed.

• Experience in advanced epilepsy monitoring in the EMU, including intracranial/stereotactic cEEG, is preferred.

• Knowledge of Nihon Kohden, Cadwell, and Xltek EEG equipment is advantageous.

• Availability for at least 16 hours (4 shifts) per week, preferably during weeknights and weekends.
