Logistics Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee daily logistics and transportation operations for both inbound and outbound shipments.

• Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, transporters, and customs brokers.

• Track delivery schedules to ensure materials are dispatched and received on time.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, customs regulations, and local laws.

• Work alongside Warehouse and Procurement teams to synchronize deliveries and inventory levels.

• Review and authorize logistics documentation, including delivery notes, shipping papers, and invoices.

• Monitor logistics expenses and assist in cost optimization efforts.

• Address logistics challenges such as delays, damages, or discrepancies in deliveries.

• Supervise logistics coordinators and drivers, assigning tasks and monitoring their performance.

• Maintain precise logistics records and reports for audits and managerial assessment.

• Assist in the tendering process and evaluation of logistics service providers.

• Uphold health, safety, and security standards throughout logistics operations.

• Collaborate with Moana, FASAH, SABER, Customs, and industrial security processes for dangerous goods items.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.

• Demonstrated experience in supervising logistics teams and managing operations.

• Comprehensive understanding of customs regulations, international shipping protocols, and logistics documentation.

• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Proficient in English.

• Proficiency in Arabic is highly desirable.

• Strong communication skills.

• Advanced communication and computer skills.

• Exercises judgment and acts in accordance with SGS ethical standards and integrity.
