This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Executes IT functions including analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging, and implementation of application programs.
• Evaluates operating systems, databases, or utility software.
• Plans, conducts, and oversees the analysis of business challenges with system solutions.
• Offers technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support staff who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging computer systems.
• Addresses situations where initial product support has been unable to identify or resolve issues in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Proficient in Networking, Active Directory, SQL Server, and Esri ArcGIS Pro.
• Reports design, reliability, and maintenance issues or bugs to design engineering/software engineering teams.
• Participates in customer installation and training sessions.
• Provides assistance to customers/users when the product is highly technical or sophisticated.
• Develops tests, tools, and diagnostic procedures for use by product support personnel.
• May conduct quality checks on technical product documentation.
• Skilled in using scripting toolsets.
• Familiar with HTTP, REST, FTP, SFTP, etc.
• Capable of testing APIs using tools such as PostMan.
• Experienced with SCRUM/Agile methodologies.
• Enjoys 'breaking' systems in a lab environment and subsequently fixing them.
• Handles help desk tickets and reproduces issues in the lab.
• Expert at researching issues and correlating them with reported problems to find resolutions, particularly in relation to security vulnerabilities reported, stack traces found in the Windows Event Log, and assessing the impact of third-party software issues on our software.
• Capable of finding workarounds for issues that cannot be immediately resolved.
• High School diploma, Bachelor's Degree AND a minimum of 2 years of experience in IT, or 5+ years of experience with a Technical diploma from a Technical and Vocational school.
• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in a Technical and IT environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is mandatory. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Travel requirements are less than 10%.
