Loan Workout Officer – Commercial Real Estate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee a portfolio of distressed commercial real estate and multifamily loans from start to finish

• Prepare and assemble credit approval memorandums that include financial analyses, relationship summaries, collateral evaluations, and risk assessments

• Detect emerging credit risks and trends, communicate risk changes to management, and implement necessary corrective measures

• Formulate, propose, and execute workout strategies to safeguard the bank’s interests and enhance recovery

• Lead discussions with borrowers, guarantors, and third-party stakeholders

• Set borrower performance expectations and monitor, enforce loan covenants, reporting requirements, and action plans

• Draft credit memorandums, risk assessments, and recommendations for senior credit authorities

• Examine documentation regarding amendments, restructuring proposals, and litigation matters

• Collaborate with senior management and loan officers on financial forecasts, projected losses, and recoveries

• Conduct quarterly reserve analyses, charge-off calculations, and credit cost forecasting

• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary

• Ensure compliance with regulatory policies, standards, and relevant laws

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (4 years or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Workout/Special Assets sector

• Experience ideally at an OCC-regulated financial institution

• Knowledge of various loan databases

• Over 7 years of relevant work experience is preferred

• Ability to uphold compliance with lending regulations, policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local laws
