Loan Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with community leaders and referral partners.

• Act as a representative of the organization at community events, meetings, and networking functions.

• Engage with potential borrowers to comprehend their objectives and funding requirements.

• Gather and assess financial documents to facilitate prudent lending choices.

• Evaluate creditworthiness and assess collateral.

• Design loan terms and negotiate agreements that benefit all parties involved.

• Prepare and deliver loan proposals for management’s review and approval.

• Ensure prompt application assessments and maintain excellent communication (no ghosting borrowers — we’re all adults here).

• Offer technical support and guidance to applicants and small business owners.

• Connect with and occasionally present to the Board.

• Volunteer and maintain a visible presence in the community we serve.
